Benefiting from the rapid development of the African motorcycle market, exports of Chinese-made motorcycle starter levers have increased significantly this year. According to customs data, from January to November, total exports of Chinese-made motorcycle starter levers reached 220,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 68%, with the African market accounting for over 70%, and Nigeria and Kenya being the main export destinations. Motorcycles in Africa are mostly used for carrying goods and passengers, requiring high durability of starter levers. Chinese-made starter levers have gained recognition in the local market due to their high cost-performance ratio and reliable quality. To meet overseas demand, companies have optimized the structural strength of starter levers to suit African road conditions and usage habits, while also reducing production costs to make their products more price-competitive. A company representative stated that they have already established a warehouse in Nigeria, shortening the delivery cycle to within 7 days, and expect annual export value to exceed 50 million yuan. Industry insiders point out that with the continued increase in the number of motorcycles in Africa, the export market for Chinese-made starter levers still has considerable room for growth.
